The World Heritage Organisation is headed by a small, but growing, group of innovative thinkers and leaders.
Edgar Alarcón Tinajero is a senior at Santa Fe High School, in Santa Fe Springs, California.
He has received the Bentley Tomorrow 25 Award (2008), the Long Beach Regional Cal-Soap University Grant (2009), the California Credit Union Scholarship (2009), and the Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards, Silver Medallion in the Business Category, for his service and leadership in and through the World Heritage Organisation.
He has lead over 15 photographic excursions and Clean-ups to beaches, museums, historical parks and other sites in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas of California. He has also written the ethnography; Cempazuchimeh, Castilian and Catholicism: The People and Culture of Northern Guerrero and Southern Morelos, Mexico. He has spearheaded the compilation of the Photographic collection of the WHO, which now includes over 5,000 photographs, and the compilation of our Ethnographic, Zoological and Botanical Collections, which also Number in the houndreds.
On May 25th, 2009, Edgar Alarcon Tinajero will run the 26.2 mile Los Angeles Marathon in sponsorship of the American Indian College Fund. All donations collected for this fundraisour will go in whole to the American Indian College Fund.
He will attend the University of Chicago next year and majour in Anthropology and Environmental Studies, with a minour in Business Administration. From there he hopes to advance and pursue a Doctiral degree, and continue to lead the WHO.
Felix and Angelica Alarcón have been especially instrumental in the success of the World Heritage Organisation. As legal Trustees in the Incorporation Process within the State of California, they have invested their time and resources to allow for the extension of the Ethnographic and Photographic Collections of the World Heritage Organisation. The size of the photographic collection, especially, is due to their contribution in helping to transport and organize the photographic outings of the World Heritage Organisation Chapter of Santa Fe High School.
Crystal Eneque , vice-president of the WHO Chapter of Santa Fe High School has contributed greatly to the Photographic Collection of the World Heritage Organisation. She has also been of great aid in helping to organize and manage our fundraisours for the benefit of the schoolchildren of Temimilcingo, Morelos, Mexico and for the benefit of the American Indian College Fund.
Elizabeth Esparza, secretary of the WHO Chapter of Santa Fe High School has spearheaded a fundraisour to promote the education of children with Autism. She has also been of great help in organizing the Santa Fe High School WHO Chapter outings, recruitments and meetings.
